Normally found in groups of twenty to thirty, the mothers in the
community seem to have their young all at the same time. The gestation
period for Vervet Monkeys is from 6 to 6 1/2 months.
Wherever you find Vervet Monkeys, you will probably find families of Baboons living in the same vicinity, Although there appears to be no direct conflict between the species, the smaller more vulnerable Vervet Monkeys will keep their distance when their paths meet.
hese Monkeys are usually found at many of the camps and lodges in Zambia, attempting to steal any food left out for guests. They are also attracted to bright shiny objects, so be careful leaving cameras etc lying around.
