Zambia - South Luangwa National Park - Mwamba Bush Camp

Mwamba Bush Camp

Mwamba Bush Camp is located in a wonderfully remote and peaceful site. Set on the banks of the Mwamba River, a tributary of the Luangwa, the camp enjoys shady views of perennial water-holes.

The chalets are uniquely designed with two large skylights (protected by mosquito gauze) allowing you to experience sleeping under the stars. These three reed and thatch en-suite bungalows also have solar lighting, flush toilets and hot showers. The accommodation reflects a thoughtful balance between back-to-nature simplicity and essential comforts.

Mwamba's spectacular sunset viewing-point on top of a large termite mound and a glowing campfire under the stars completes the camp's friendly and personal atmosphere.

Guests have exclusive access to the ‘Mwamba's Last Waterhole Hide’ located on an outcrop directly above an active waterhole. This waterhole provides fantastic opportunities to watch different species of thirsty game coming in to drink. The stage remains constant but the players change throughout the day - it is very easy to while away hours in this hide watching the ever changing show.

High season rate: £292 per person per night.
